Through gentle education, I cut through the noise of sustainability, helping brands design circular + regenerative products, ensuring brands have the business structure to support such systems + empowering individuals on their sustainability journeys.

WHY WORK WITH ME

As one of Vogue’s six designers to watch from the Rhode Island School of Design, I know how to visually compel, gently disrupt, and powerfully communicate.

Complemented by a Harvard University Master’s Degree and Consulting Capstone in Sustainability (with the Dean’s Award for Academic Achievement), I frame creativity with scientific data, regenerative and circular systems thinking, and impact-reducing business strategy.

I am, therefore, at the unique intersection of scientific research, actionable strategy, and creativity, integrating the circular mindset of backward design into everything I do: Starting with the Earth and end-of-life in mind, considering every aspect and material, where they fit within systems, and how they ripple out.

Overall, delivering solutions you didn’t know were possible.

My former Harvard Regenerative Economics professor ran this year’s Master’s Degree course assignments through ChatGPT, and it failed. AI is a wonderful new tool, but it’s missing the mark with sustainability, circularity, and regenerative initiatives. There’s enough misinformation in the sustainability space, so if you’re looking for a qualified partner who understands your problems and can brainstorm design-based and scientifically informed solutions, look no further.

The crux of it all is to move beyond theory into action.

CLIENT TESTIMONIALS

“We reached out to Isabelle with our project idea, seeking guidance and suggestions for improvement, and she exceeded all expectations. She provided clear, professional, and highly insightful feedback. It was an amazing experience, and we are truly grateful.”

— Daria Zinoveva-Princey + Ana van Turnhout, Co-Founders + Fashion Designers, February First

“Isabelle Saxton was a delight to work with and brought a valuable perspective on the global impact of the fashion industry to our high school curriculum project. She collaborated with our cohort of teachers to create custom training based on their self-identified knowledge gaps, reviewed and connected the lessons they developed to global issues and solutions, and compiled best-practice resources to support their work in building instructional materials for North Carolina high schools.”

— Catherine Armstrong, Program Director, Textile Innovation Engine of North Carolina

“Isabelle's session on building a Brand Sustainability Report was engaging, clear, and full of unique insights. It went beyond your basic tips for sustainability communication and got specific, tangible, and actionable. I especially appreciated the examples from small brands, as the standard corporate sustainability reporting advice isn't always approachable for SMEs! Isabelle also answered the questions during the Q&A portion so thoughtfully and had grounded tips for avoiding accidental greenwashing. It's clear Isabelle is deeply knowledgeable about this topic, not just in theory, but from real-world practice, too.”

— Elizabeth Joy, Owner + Community Manager, Conscious Fashion Collective

“Isabelle's invaluable and in depth research traced our Scope 3 emissions and created a roadmap forward. In this daunting space, Isabelle made the process clear and concise with an achievable action plan to help to future-proof our business.”

— Mary Price, Founder + Creative Director, Ocean + Main
